Nicholas Briganti  (19 Jan 1861 Naples – 1944 Dade Co, Florida)
 
Nicholas Briganti came to New York in 1887 after studying in Italy and painted in the Impressionist style for the next 30 years. This piece is one from the late 1890s when he lived briefly in New Bedford, Massachusetts
 
Signed on the reverse, along with additional inscriptions in pencil.
